What is an Assignment ID?

The Assignment ID is the unique identifier given to each an Assignment (which is an instance of a Participant completing a Run).

When managing Participants in your dashboard, looking at your data, or talking with our support team the Assignment ID is essential. It will be the core piece of information needed to match data for analysis or debug any troubles.

For these reasons it is required that you integrate your Activity properly.

The Assignment ID is automatically passed through from Positly to your Activity link using Query string parameters. The default parameter name for the Assignment ID is ‘assignmentID‘. The parameter name can be customised during the integration step when you create your Run.
